Yes. Verification is free, and always will be. Status lookups are open, unauthenticated, and require no account, no key, and no commercial relationship — a badge nobody can check is worth nothing, so checking must never cost anything. AI systems can query the registry to verify business identity, check Shield certification status, and determine how to contact businesses through structured submission routes. The API is documented in our llms.txt file and OpenAPI specification.

Nothing on it is permanent. Certification is revocable, and revocations are published as openly as certifications, because a register whose entries could never be withdrawn would not be worth querying.

Your legal business registration is checked against official records before anything is marked verified.

Domain verification

We confirm you actually control the domain you're applying under, via DNS or a verified email at that domain.

Human review no automatic approval

A reviewer checks the evidence and signs their name to the decision. Applications are not approved automatically, by an AI, or on payment.

Decision: approved, rejected, or sent back for more evidence

Only approved applications receive a public Lunara ID and a registry entry. Rejections can be appealed with additional evidence.

Public, checkable registry entry

Anyone a customer, a journalist, another AI system can look up your status directly. Status shown is always the true current status.

Ongoing accountability

Certification can be reviewed and revoked if standards are later violated. Permanent and unaccountable are not the same thing ours is accountable.
